Like most people I wanted to drive. However, with my disability I didn't know how easy it would be. None of the big driving schools could provide me with a suitably adapted car. Lee not only has a suitably adapted car, he also has lots of experience of teaching people with different disabilities and quickly assessed my requirements to drive. He is very patient, calm and provided me with the skills and confidence to drive. I have now passed my test and have access to a suitably adapted car and love the independence it has given me.
The first thing that I said to you was "I can't steer". I knew that I had a good driving instructor after my first lesson with you. You have continually given me confidence and, most importantly, belief in myself that I could drive. The proof was those four little letters -
And now Pass Plus -
I have a paralysed right arm and can barely walk. I passed my driving test first time thanks to Lee's excellent tuition. Like all good teachers, Lee is able to relate to the different learning styles of different pupils. Lee has not only taught me to drive and given me back my independence, but also provided a therapeutic environment and an enjoyable learning experience. He was always on time, patient and provided excellent constructive feedback. He also taught me simple but effective systems to help me with test manoeuvres. Particularly useful were a couple of 'mock tests' prior to my real test, which were excellent preparation exercises. I would strongly recommend him to anyone wishing to pass their driving test, disabled or otherwise.
